The Balboa Walking Tour ~ From the Island to the Ocean
Discover Newport's 2 Balboas - at 2 hours & 2 miles - this fun group walking tour brings together the best of Newport Harbor led by a local Island resident who specializes in bringing the history and culture to life.
The adventure begins the minute you cross the bridge to Balboa Island with its charming shops and boutiques, and continues along the waterfront to ride the Ferry across the Harbor. The combination of cozy cottages, stunning homes, and the 9,000+ yachts and sailboats makes for a camera-ready moment! Along the way, you'll hear about some of the famous movies and TV shows that were filmed or set in Newport and the stars who made their homes here for many years.
Over on the Balboa Peninsula, you'll take in the Fun Zone, anchored by the historic Pavilion and home to the Nautical Museum, then continue out to the Balboa Pier.
The tour culminates back at the Balboa Bridge. Armed with an insider's tips on local history, area highlights, restaurants, shopping, and other activities to enjoy at the beach, you may choose to stay & shop or enjoy lunch along the waterfront.
